AL-ANSAR

I was invited to produce a documentary promoting the wide-ranging impact of the Al-Ansar Islamic Education Centre, not just on Muslims but on all faiths across the local area. With solid additional footage from Kang Ong, the video helped raise funds for the redevelopment of its community hub, which is now well underway.

WILL & MARIANA’S WEDDING

Some might say that the wedding video is documentary in its rawest form, capturing a factual event in a way that’s engaging to a wider audience.  I had the pleasure of filming the delightful event that was Will and Mariana’s wedding in London.  Will is a great friend and the joy that abounded through the day is a reflection of how much he and Mariana are loved by all who attended.

CAT FACE

Working behind the scenes never really feels like working, since I’m capturing cast and crew in their downtime and the occasional snippet of ‘take’ action.  Here’s my short BTS for the psychological horror Cat Face – currently doing the rounds at film festivals and written and directed by the multi-talented Ogo Okpue.

AL NOOR FOUNDATION FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2016

There’s nothing like sport to bring kids together and develop team spirit… I filmed this little videography for the Al Noor Foundation which organised the i7 cross-London football tournament

LAST FAN STANDING

I had the pleasure of being the second camera on Big Deal Films’ reality series Last Fan Standing, commissioned by the Community Channel.  Each episode features four contestants who try their hand at each others’ hobbies.

It was great to be part of, witnessing talented people end up in often hilarious situations…

THE BIG SOHO CLEAN-UP

On 26 May 2014 over 100 young people descended upon central London to voluntarily clean the streets of Soho. This is how it went…

FIVE A DAY TO GO

The traders and customers of a traditional fruit and veg store in East London give their views before it closes to make way for a multinational coffee shop chain.

DRAGON TONGUE SQUAD IN LONDON

China’s premiere hip hop act Dragon Tongue Squad made their UK performance debut in 2008. This film documents their opinions on music and culture ahead of their collaboration with British Chinese musicians Suki Mok & DJ Phat at the Royal Opera House, London.

A PIONEER PERSPECTIVE

My first documentary production, this is a 10 minute precis of the original half hour programme which was broadcast in 2008.   It deals with the mood of the traders and customers of an East London market which was forced to close after developers claimed their land.
