One of my first clients after becoming a freelancer was the artist Lanre Olagoke. To say he’s a colourful character would be an understatement and his artwork is as broad in mood as his life is in service; founding the Art Alive Arts Trust, working with prisoners to realise their creative potential, mentoring youths and organising street performances in his beloved Soho.
Lanre’s past was a difficult one and led to homelessness and drug addiction; but art became his salvation and he turned his life around. Now he helps others turn around theirs.
